The University of Virginia Football is a highly competitive FBS Power Four program committed to academic and athletic excellence. The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Football Performance Applied Science Assistant to support the department's Football program. Under the direction of the Head Football Strength & Conditioning Coach, this position is primarily responsible for commitment to the Head Football Coach's program vision. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help build Head Coach's program vision.
- Assist with logistical implementation of all strength & conditioning activities and related duties for the football program, and perform all other duties as assigned.
- Implement Catapult system and assist with logistics (prep work, set up/breakdown), live tracking during practices, daily analysis reports, and in-depth analysis projects (trends, programming, etc.).
- Assist with NordBord, ForceDecks, Perch, Smart Speed, Soreness Reports in logistics (prep work, set up/breakdown, data collection) and analysis reports.
- Assist performance staff (strength & conditioning, sports medicine, nutrition) with applied science projects.
- Assist with tracking and analyzing training data.
- Attend team meetings, S&C staff meetings, and performance team meetings as assigned.
- Assist with Catapult, QB data collection, and other duties as assigned during practice.
- Assist with Catapult, locker room set up/breakdown, and other duties as assigned during Gameday.
- Assist with all aspects of facility enhancement & maintenance (recruit ready at all times).
- Stay up to date on performance research and trends. Pursue development in analytics/applied science.
- Continually help grow and develop the Strength & Conditioning department to be the model department within the model college football program.
- May assist with on-field football technical and tactical coaching.
- Adhere to Staff Expectations of Head Football Coach and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
- Other duties as assigned by Head Coach and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.

- Follow all rules of University of Virginia, Virginia Football, NCAA, ACC, and CSC
- Assist in promoting an atmosphere of compliance.Get approvals from the Compliance Staff before acting to ensure actions are consistent with NCAA, ACC, and CSC rules.
