Join is as our newest Quality Control Lab Technician - Human Health

The position will work as part of a team responsible for the quality control processes performed in a GMP-compliant dietary supplement manufacturing facility. All team members must be mindful of production timelines while supporting the achievement of quality, safety, sales and production goals.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Participating in internal safety and continuous improvement programs (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, 5S) and adhering to all safety guidelines and GMP requirements.

  • Performing in-house quality control testing on samples according to written SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory standards.

  • Conducting routine equipment calibrations and verifications (e.g., scales, pH meters) to ensure accurate testing and production support.

  • Following and promoting food safety protocols in compliance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and internal certification standards.

  • Using aseptic techniques to maintain sterility of media, equipment, and workspaces.

  • Recording all testing, evaluations, and training received accurately in company systems such as SAP and LIMS.

  • Communicating testing nonconformances to relevant stakeholders, including QC, QA, PMG, and Production teams.

  • Assisting with the training and onboarding of new staff in areas of demonstrated proficiency.

  • Maintaining a clean, organized lab environment and complying with all hygiene and personal conduct policies in production and warehouse areas.

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Read and comprehend documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Equipment Manuals.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and auditors, and respond clearly to questions.

  • Apply basic math skills and interpret numerical data, including metric measurements and temperature in Celsius.

  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving tools to adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • Operate a variety of lab and office equipment, and perform basic dilution series according to specifications.

  • Interpret testing results accurately and take appropriate action by following SOPs.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and compliance standards.

  • Use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate level to support documentation and communication.

(These characteristics are normally acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field or three years full-time experience in a laboratory environment.)
