Musical Director, Middle School

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's premier pre-K through 12th grade private schools, dedicated to providing a career-focused cost-free education and housing to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Milton Hershey School (MHS) is currently seeking a Middle School Musical Director for the Spring 2026 production. The Director collaborates extensively with the production team and cooperatively works with the Visual and Performing Arts Director to ensure a production of excellence. A holistic, team approach that supports MHS Sacred Values and reinforces the development of students social and emotional competencies is required.

• High school diploma/GED equivalent, bachelor's degree in theatre is a plus.
• Minimum 5-year experience performing in high school or college groups.
• Minimum 5-year experience instructing theatre including musicals.
• Demonstrated success in developing students' performance skills.
• Experience leading rehearsals and providing constructive & encouraging feedback.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organized, reliable, and positive in outlook, inspiring others to exemplify those same traits.
• Skilled in scheduling. Proficient with Microsoft and Google applications.
• Candidate should exhibit a commitment to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Candidate should demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students.
