Job Family Description

Maintenance/production personnel support the operational success of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, buildings, systems, and shops. Professionals in these roles are responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of equipment, machinery, and production processes to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Discipline Description

Work Control personnel provide maintenance and work planning for nuclear, non-nuclear and shop facilities. They provide oversight for the Site Maintenance Program, provide support for the Reliability Centered Maintenance Program, and provide Facility Administrator functions for Landlord Services Buildings. Works Management Center personnel are responsible for coordinating and scheduling with operations and maintenance personnel for corrective and preventative maintenance outages and block week work to minimize facility operations impacts.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Work Control personnel provide maintenance and work planning for nuclear, non-nuclear and shop
facilities. They develop detailed, often complex work packages to ensure site construction, maintenance,
and/or repair work is conducted effectively and efficiently. They may maintain qualifications in multiple
disciplines, including Lock-out Writer qualifications and Lead Planner for the area Works Management
Center. They also own the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program for the facility, initiating and
revising PMs, including working with Engineering to evaluate PM frequencies. They may own facility
maintenance schedules and perform work window manager functions.

Required Qualifications

* Associate's degree in relevant field plus completion of applicable certification or on-the-job training plus at least three years of experience (YOE) in an applicable role, OR High school diploma plus completion of applicable certification or on-the-job training plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in an applicable role
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

We'd Also Like to See

Related maintenance experience, construction or maintenance trades scheduling/coordination experience preferred.
Ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system, personal computer software and site licensed programs in creating and maintaining maintenance reports and schedules.
Familiarity with Asset Suite.
Substantial oral and written communication skills in both technical and administrative areas.
Advanced understanding of site maintenance procedures and work practices for both maintenance and operations related areas.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
