Prometheus Energetics LLC is currently seeking a Director of Supply Chain & Contracts to lead and manage all aspects of supply chain operations and government/commercial contracting. Prometheus Energetics is a new US-based joint venture and will be a merchant supplier of solid rocket motors, energetics, and other adjacent product areas for the US and international defense markets.

This position oversees and directs procurement, sourcing, subcontract management, logistics, and materials planning, while also managing contracts administration, negotiation, and compliance. The individual will play a key role in ensuring compliant, cost-effective, and timely acquisition of materials, equipment, services, and contractual commitments in support of company programs.

Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, contract compliance, and approving changes to methods and practices that impact the supply chain and contract execution.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management



  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Manage procurement, sourcing, and subcontract administration for materials, components, and services supporting energetic and aerospace products
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract awards, performance management, and resolution of supplier issues
  • Establish and manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers in compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Implement and oversee material planning, inventory control, and logistics functions to ensure on-time delivery and program execution
  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and compliance with AS9100 and DoD supplier standards


Contracts Management



  • Lead contracts administration across government and commercial customers, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable regulations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements
  • Monitor contract performance, funding, and deliverables to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government contracting officers and customer representatives
  • Oversee contract closeout, modifications, and dispute resolution activities
  • Ensure proper flow down of prime contract requirements to suppliers and subcontractors


Leadership & Compliance



  • Build and lead a high-performing Supply Chain & Contracts team
  • Determine staffing plans and resource allocation for supply chain and contracting functions
  • Lead development of annual budgets for supply chain and contract operations
  • Support program managers and executives with contractual guidance and supply chain strategies
  • Interface with executives, regulators, and customers on high-visibility issues and negotiations

Required Experience:

Qualifications:



  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, government contracting, and subcontract management within defense or aerospace
  • Proven expertise in FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and export compliance
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and administering DoD contracts and major subcontracts
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal direction and oversight
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of the work



Education and Experience:



  • BS from an accredited institution in Business, Supply Chain Management, Contracts, or related field
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications (CPCM, CPSM, NCMA certification, etc.) highly desired
  • 10+ years of combined supply chain and contracts leadership experience in the defense, aerospace, or energetics industry



Work Environment:



  • Office & factory environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, phones, contract/document handling)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds



Location: Bloomfield, Indiana area

Travel Required: Occasional, including international, as required
