Overview

Due to growth, we are adding a Supervisor, Specialty Pharmacy Services to our Specialty Pharmacy Operations-Madison department.

Under general direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge and/or Staff Pharmacist(s), the Supervisor, Pharmacy Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a team of technicians. This position monitors productivity and performance standards and plans and directs workflow and project assignments. Oversees production volume to ensure service standards are met. The Supervisor, Specialty Pharmacy Services will conduct hiring, training, and evaluation of staff, as well as be responsible for teams adherence to corporate attendance and employment policies. This individual will work with the Pharmacist-in-Charge and Pharmacist Manager(s) to develop policies, procedures, and the business work plan for the team and recognize and recommend operational improvements. Lastly, the Supervisor will train staff and intervene to help maintain a high level of customer service and meet turn-around time standards.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

    Schedule and monitor staff and day to day workflow. Develop employees skills, evaluate performance, and provide feedback. Oversees resolution of employee relations. Conducts hiring, training and evaluation of staff
  • Develop, track and monitor employees compliance to quality, service and production standards
  • Monitor prescription turnaround time so that internal standards and client performance guarantees are met. Assist Pharmacist-in-Charge and Pharmacist Manager(s) in monitoring costs to ensure compliance with cost goals
  • Address staff concerns and day to day operational, system, customer service, quality, and professional issues. Work in production as needed
  • Implement programs and process improvements to enhance the level of internal and external customer service provided. Work with Pharmacist-in-Charge and Pharmacist Manager(s) to analyze operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy
  • Work as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve. Represents pharmacy operations and service in cross-functional meeting and projects
  • Assists with the set-up and maintenance of the clinical service model
  • Participate in continued quality improvement and quality meetings as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech certificate (CPhT) required or ability to become certified within one year of hire
  • 2-5 years experience, previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
