Immerse Delaware Intern, Social Engagement and Communication Coordinator

The Waters Immerse Delaware team is looking to hire an intern out of our Immerse Lab on the STAR campus, to drive Waters' engagement across the University of Delaware campus and to connect with the brightest minds from the academic community. Together, we aspire to solve the grand challenges in biomanufacturing. A collaboration between the Global Research Organization and the Corporate Communications office at Waters, this paid internship provides a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. The program will commence immediately and will be part-time (7-10 hours/week) during the school year 2025-26 and potentially full-time in the summer of 2026. Key responsibilities of this role:

Devise, plan and execute social, educational and networking events (such as "lunch and learns", seminars, and open houses) that foster a collaborative, innovative and fun environment for our hard-working scientists and engineers
• Coordinate with the Immerse Delaware and broader Waters teams to create priorities around social engagements with the University of Delaware community
• Create messaging and tactics to improve the brand awareness and stimulate engagement
• Design, create and edit content including flyers, promotional materials, and social media creatives to support community-engaging initiatives and activities using digital, print and email platforms
• Actively monitor social pages (external/internal) and editorial posts to maximize reader engagement across key platforms

Qualifications specific to this role:

• Pursuing a bachelor's in communication, business or similar discipline
• Affinity for science and ability to engage scientists and engineers
• Completion of sophomore year at the University of Delaware
• Proven ability to coordinate social events
• Familiarity with creative design software, social media platforms
• Able to take on tasks and work independently and report on milestones
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must
• Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize workload, and collaborate
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
