Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Insurance Division Insurance Regulation for over 2,000 licensed entities and over 350,000 licenses agents.

Job Overview:

This position liaises between the Insurance Division, other Department Divisions, and other state Departments with impacts on Insurance Division operations to ensure efficiencies and identify problems and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend divisional staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to implement best practices.
  • Leverage current technology to improve efficiency and business processes.
  • Coordinate and produce certain required internal and external reports.
  • Collaborate with STS and other software vendors to resolve software issues.
  • Perform certain audit functions.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful implementation of any new systems,
  • Ensure that all process changes are documented through a formal change control process.
  • Establish proficiency in all software applications used by Divisional staff and prepare to act as a resource.
  • Special projects as determined by the Assistant Commissioner

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, exceptional written and oral communications and interpersonal relations. Preferred candidates will also be able to establish priorities among changing agendas and the multiple sections of the Insurance Division. Two or more years of professional administrative or project coordination experience.
