Co-op, Medicinal Chemistry Address: 45 Sidney Street Cambridge, MA, 02139 Blueprint Medicines, a Sanofi company, is a global biopharmaceutical company that invents life-changing medicines. We have a track record of success with two approved medicines, including AYVAKIT/AYVAKYT (avapritinib) which we are bringing to patients with SM in the U.S. and Europe. Leveraging our established research, development, and commercial capability and infrastructure, we aim to significantly scale our impact by advancing a broad pipeline of programs ranging from early science to advanced clinical trials in mast cell diseases and solid tumors. Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic co-op intern to join our medicinal chemistry team. This lab-based internship will provide an introductory experience into the drug discovery process. Working under the supervision of a senior chemist, the intern will design and synthesize novel chemical matter for evaluation in a preclinical program. The intern will analyze and interpret data to build upon existing structure activity relationships, informing the design of subsequent generations of targets. In addition to developing their skills in multistep organic synthesis, the intern will learn and apply basic principles of medicinal chemistry, including structure-based drug design, ADME properties, and PK optimization. Projects will be crafted along one or multiple of the following key areas based on interest and business needs:

Our Co-op Program: Blueprint's Co-op program is ~6 months long. The program is designed to provide students with deep functional expertise within their department and a broad understanding of the life sciences industry. Co-ops are paired with dedicated mentors for personalized learning and career development guidance. The program includes lunch and learn sessions, networking events, a student volunteer day, and other networking opportunities. It culminates in a final poster presentation where interns showcase their work. Dress Code: Blueprint's offices are a business casual environment. Business casual means attire that is professional but also relaxed, such as slacks or business dress pants, skirts/dresses, khakis, chinos, or dark jeans without holes paired with button-down shirts, sweaters, blouses, or polo shirts and closed-toed shoes. It typically excludes formal suits or very casual clothing such as athletic wear or flip flops. Spring 2026 Co-op Program Dates: Monday, January 5th - Friday, June 26th Pay Range: Our Co-ops are paid hourly based on previous Co-op experience. The expected pay range for this role is $27.00 - $32.00 per hour. Who will my employer be? You will be employed by Magnit, LLC for all purposes and not Blueprint Medicines, a Sanofi Company.
