Minimum Experience/Education |
Graduation from high school and demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities gained through 3 years of specialized office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Budget Management is essential in this position. |

Duties and Responsibilities |
* Provide financial/budget management and oversight for the division of the Bioinformatics & Genomics Dept. that is located at the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis. The financial/budget management is for a diverse set of funds including the Kannapolis Operating Funds, Research Grants awarded to the Kannapolis Faculty, Foundation Funds, Discretionary Funds and Faculty F &A (
PIFA funds).
* Oversee budgets, procurement and approve purchase orders and Pcard transactions from various funding sources. Compile/analyze financial data to reconcile funds to Banner. Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues. Prepare Budget Revisions and Journal Vouchers as needed. Routinely report financial data to the
BISD Director and Principal Investigators. Assist with budget planning and monitor the expenditures to meet the department objectives and maintain compliance with state policies and procedures as well as federal grant guidelines.
* Process hiring submissions for various types of positions including, Postdocs, Student Appointments, and Non-Student Temps Positions. Adhere to the university's guidelines for each type of position. Submit funding changes as necessary for each type of position.
