About the Opportunity
The Commercial Contracts team at Inotiv manages a portfolio of nearly 3,000 agreements across the organization. We are implementing a new Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and seeking a Temporary Commercial Contract Review Intern to support this critical initiative.

This is a unique opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain practical, hands-on experience in contract analysis, legal review, and contract management within a dynamic life sciences organization. The internship will provide valuable exposure to how contracts function in a corporate environment, particularly within a growing CRO.

What You'll Do

  • Review a large volume of existing commercial contracts across business lines.

  • Identify, extract, and highlight key contractual clauses (e.g., confidentiality, indemnification, liability, payment terms, intellectual property).

  • Organize and input information into the new CLM repository to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

  • Collaborate with the Legal, Risk, Business Development, Operations, and Finance teams to clarify contract language and requirements.

  • Gain insight into contract negotiation considerations and compliance requirements within the life sciences industry.

Who You Are

  • A recent law school graduate seeking to gain corporate legal experience in a temporary internship.

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with complex contractual language.

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize and extract key provisions.

  • Interested in contract law, corporate governance, or life sciences legal issues.

  • Prior experience or exposure to life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries is highly preferred.

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
