Position Overview

This position is a paid internship for a college student currently working towards a forestry degree.


Company Overview

Green Bay Packaging is a privately owned, vertically integrated forest products company that has been in operation since 1933. Arkansas operations include ownership and management of more than 255,000 acres of company timberland with an additional 257,000 of private timberland under our direct management in our Landowner Resource Program. Our Arkansas Kraft Division papermill produces linerboard and medium paper used to manufacture corrugated packaging at our facilities around the country. Requirements

Applicants must be forestry students in good academic standing and have completed their freshman year in a natural resources major at an SAF-accredited college or university. Fiber Resource Division is looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to experience a full array of silvicultural and procurement opportunities.


Job Duties

Responsibilities will include working with both timber procurement and land management departments. Tasks will include timber cruising, BMP implementation/evaluation, timber sale preparation, site preparation and logging inspection, meeting with private landowners, participating in a research project, giving a presentation, and many more opportunities for professional growth. Interns will receive CPR/First-Aid certification, drone experience, ArcGIS usage, and tours of our papermill & sawmill.
