Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Communicate with Superintendent regularly for direction and assistance.
- Develop a plan and systems to build fences with speed and quality, follow projected schedules.
- Responsible for following plans and specifications for projects.
- Communication with clients and office as
- Report any issues or concerns to Superintendent or Project Manager.
- Complete and turn in daily reports of project progress and/or additional paperwork required by client daily and/or weekly on Fridays. Due dates are subject to change, the office will notify you of this.
- Submit receipts and paperwork for financial tracking of project expenses.
Crew Management:
- Establish a schedule for crew members & keep them occupied with tasks to complete projects
- Train new employees for work they will be doing
- Conduct daily safety meetings and complete assigned safety training.
- See that crew completes assigned safety training and attends meetings.
- Set the pace for work, lead by example and treat others as you would want to be treated
- Enforce and be an example for safety measures for crew members.
- Authority to release crew members if not following policy.
- Communication with upper management on issues that need attention.
- Collect, review, and turn in employee time sheets daily.
Equipment and Auto Maintenance:
- Regular oil changes and general maintenance on primary and site vehicles.
- Communicate maintenance needs with office.
- Check all equipment, trailers, tools, etc. For safety and appropriate maintenance.
- Responsible for tools and equipment being in working order and properly secured in transit.
- Submit auto and equipment inspections weekly.
- Turn in receipts and/or maintenance records to the office weekly on Fridays.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be willing to Travel to different job sites for long periods of time.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Know, understand, and positively communicate with the public, customers, fellow workers, superiors, and corporate personnel.
- Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with the public, customers, fellow workers, superiors and corporate personnel.
- Well-groomed and properly dressed.
- Understands the hours of service as a General Foreman will exceed that of a Crew Leader classification.
- Have a working knowledge of all equipment associated with line clearance activities.
- Have knowledge of climbing skills and other aspects of electrical line clearance operations, which may include having a pesticide applicator license.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of proper pruning techniques.
- Must be honest, trustworthy, and portray the Company in a positive light.
- Must be extremely safety conscious.
- Must have met all qualifications and nature of duties of a Crew Leader.

TECHNOLOGY, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS: Must be fully functional with the Microsoft suite of products with a specific focus on advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP and business intelligence tools preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to comprehend complex written bid and contract requirements
- Experience in the vegetation management operations environment
- Strong analytic and math skills
- Detail oriented with defined organizational skills for executing complex tasks and setting priorities
- Manage oneself and others to deliver complete, accurate, and complex work product on strict deadlines
- Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative to use time effectively and find opportunities to contribute value
- Effectively communicates within all organization levels (both internal and external)
- Develop and foster positive working relationships throughout all organizational levels and with customer contacts
- Exercises confidentiality because of the proprietary and competitive nature of the bidding data and process, and risks associated with public disclosure.
- Knowledge of vegetation management operations, equipment, safety and methods is preferred.
