Support EMEAI BUs with technical expertise/ customer knowledge and doing liaison between the plants, Technical, and commercial as well as own the Opp Cost metrics - maintain Quality metrics and ensure balance between GSC and the BU at the item level.

Reporting to the Regional Quality Director the Quality Manager BU GI Liquid working in collaboration with other Quality excellence Bus in the different regions, assisting GSC to achieve their Quality KPI's. Understand clearly customer expectation and improve customer satisfaction with a clear GI Quality improvement strategy. QMBU's may also lead specific quality initiatives or projects relating to quality & opportunity cost within GSC Quality Team. QMBU may need to support GSC Quality when required on customer quality matters.


  • Implementing and executing on region quality tactical plans while tailoring General Industrial business needs, leading quality & continuous Improvement projects, and ensuring our products adhere to quality standards
  • Alignment to quality standards for Technical and GSC and when needed modifications to existing quality standards to suit the General Industrial business. Original: Drive compliance and assist in updating Quality standards focused on Technical or Business processes (100, 200, 800 series).
  • Lead strategic planning for new test method development in General Industrial by identifying existing risk through claims and customer complaints while managing Market expectations
  • Lead business critical ARCs through identification of problem statement, stabilization, root cause and corrective actions. Including ARC/8D reports for customers, customer facing summarization of information and communicating with Commercial and Customers directly. Original: Leverage corrective actions across GI Liquid sites as necessary. Function to ensure appropriate resources, driving accountability for ARCs at the sites, leveraging best practices across the sites
  • Utilize ARC 301 tools to help the team solve problems such as Kepner Tregoe tools (situational assessment, etc.)
  • Lead Business Unit Summary Reporting and Quality reviews (QRB) relating to GI Business and track actions completion
  • Lead continuous alignment of General Industrial test method in both Technical and Manufacturing. Conduct repeatability and reproducibility studies to determine acceptability of testing. Original: Support the standardization of the Test Methods
  • Lead for complex divisional complaints that elevate past Define and Stabilize, meet the threshold criteria of ARC, or are being requested by a leadership position
  • Lead and or participate in complex divisional quality investigations to determine root cause that are customer and/or technical facing. Will step up and lead investigations that are borderline of ownership when needed.
  • Perform effective data analysis to support complex investigations
  • Supports projects, investigations, etc by completing complex data analysis and helping set up data collection in order to complete Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Modeling, Mixture DOE, Nested DOE, and high fraction DOE. Original: Utilizes customer data and helps them analyze and solve complex customer line problems as requested
  • Lead Quality customer facing relationships both complaint and noncompliant driven in conjunction with Sales and Technical Service Original: Contributor on providing Quality data to the customer along with clearly articulating RCCA and analysis
  • Develop Technical or Customer facing standard operating procedures and provide support to train SW personnel (R&D - Sales - CTS - Operations) to ensure procedures are followed.
  • Work closely with the Business Managers to support necessary quality practices and procedures directly affecting the customers.
  • Participate or be a contributor in global projects.
  • Defines and leads key business quality projects within region Original: Leads key divisional and global projects to improve quality.
  • Lead multi-year strategy plan for EU GI quality business with associated KPI's for improvement (Opportunity Cost, Complaint Resolution Days, Scale up Success Rate) Original: Manages overall program portfolio and program management for a region.
  • Support necessary quality practices and procedures directly affecting the customers. .
  • Quality lead for all customer audits at SW GI facilities including pre/post audit preparations Original: Lead and participate of internal audit (Including R&D) & Customer audits
  • Lead facilitator on interregional transfers and new product introduction to mitigate risk to Business and GI customers Original: Support transfer process and be the final approval in term of Quality
  • Fluent in English.

  • Effective leader and trainer in cross-functional project teams.

  • Able to communicate with all management levels within the organization

  • Fundamental knowledge of ISO Process Approach, Plan Do Check Act thinker

  • Risk based thinker and planner of activities.

  • Must be able to effectively train and coach employees at all levels of the organization

  • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable application

  • Must have a bachelor's degree, Chemistry, Engineering, Science

  • Paint manufacture experience preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule to adapt prioritization changes and needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross functional team to a successful outcome
  • Strong Presentations skills & Facilitator
