Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Provide visitor information Check Tickets Maintain snowshoe trails and general guest guidance. Will stay informed of daily events in the Schweitzer village and around the entire mountain. Secondary Responsibilities: May assist Ski Patrol in support for emergency situations, special events and surveys. Performs other guest service actions as required. Other Duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - None Technical - Intermediate to advance Nordic skiing and snowshoeing skills required Physical Capabilities - Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions for entirety of shift. Will be expected to ski and/or snowshoe for up to 4 hours per shift. Will be expected to lift up to 35 lbs on their own and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Additional - Must have an outgoing, energetic, positive attitude. Excellent communication skills required. Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication required. Highschool diploma or GED preferred. Experience - At least 1 season either recreating or working at Schweitzer. General knowledge of ski resort operations, including strong familiarity with Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
