As a Senior Content Developer at Thomson Reuters, you will join the team responsible for the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation, maintenance, and modification of properly engineered information systems, containing software as the major component, to meet agreed business needs. You will focus on development of the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax software and associated data collection and automation applications, working with various development and technical teams and liaising with customer support and implementation teams.

About the Role

As a Senior Content Developer, you will:

  • Facilitating and automating the effective and efficient delivery of top-quality Indirect Tax content
  • Contributing to the testing of tax content changes for quality assurance
  • Evaluating existing content creation and testing processes independently
  • Driving innovation by providing recommendations for automation
  • Taking initiative in solving issues related to customers, systems, applications, etc.
  • Contributing to the development of requirements for tax application features and functionality
  • Managing the deployment of script and tool upgrades, enhancements and fixes to agreed deadlines
  • Playing an active role in design of content/systems for tax and legal issues
  • Representing the team as a subject matter expert/project point person on projects and initiatives
  • Learning and developing technical skills required to work effective with Python and SQL
  • Developing training materials and providing training/mentoring to Content Developers
  • Clearly documenting all projects/tools/scripts developed

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Content Developer if your background includes:

  • Degree in a computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role
  • A record of successful software delivery as an individual and/or team leader on time and on budget
  • Strong understanding of database concepts (data types, queries, filters, table design)
  • Practical knowledge and deep understanding of Python libraries and data engineering tools
  • Ability to automate processes using Python, SQL and REST services
  • Knowledge of Version Control Systems (e.g. Git) and Project Management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Basic knowledge of AWS, PyQT, FastAPI, Docker and Django Framework
  • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability for analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and organize advanced data
  • Ability to consistently meet rigid and recurring deadlines for complex assignments without assistance
  • Ability to work and learn independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $88,200 - $163,800.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
