The Sales Manager - Land Products (Americas) is a growth-focused sales role designed for a motivated professional with a hunter mindset. You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities in high-growth applications and markets, while also supporting strategic accounts and partner development across North, Central, and South America.

Your mission: drive rapid expansion of Applanix's market presence, capture competitive opportunities, and build a strong pipeline of new customers who will benefit from our advanced positioning and mapping solutions. This role demands proactive outreach, solution-based selling, and a passion for winning in competitive markets.

What You Will Do

1. New Business Development

  • Proactively identify and target high-potential accounts in growth markets such as autonomous vehicle testing, smart infrastructure, precision agriculture, mobile mapping, and emerging surveying applications.

  • Develop account acquisition strategies and execute targeted outreach campaigns to win new customers.

  • Leverage Applanix's technology advantages to displace competitive solutions and capture market share.

2. Channel & Partner Expansion

  • Identify and recruit new channel partners to increase sales reach in underserved territories.

  • Support partner enablement with training, product knowledge, and sales tools to accelerate their success.

  • Collaborate with partners on joint pursuit strategies for strategic accounts.

3. Sales Execution & Revenue Growth

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets for Land Products, including hardware, software, warranties, and services.

  • Maintain a full and active pipeline of opportunities with accurate forecasting in CRM tools.

  • Work closely with the Regional Sales & Account Manager to align tactical initiatives with strategic objectives.

4. Market Presence & Competitive Capture

  • Represent Applanix at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations to build brand awareness and trust.

  • Monitor competitive activity and feed intelligence back to the business to guide product development and positioning.

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations that clearly communicate Applanix's value proposition in a customer's language.

Performance Objectives

First 6-12 Months:

  • Generate a measurable pipeline of new opportunities in targeted growth segments.

  • Secure wins with at least 3-5 new strategic accounts.

  • Establish new or revitalized channel partner relationships in priority territories.

Long-Term (12+ Months):

  • Achieve double-digit annual sales growth in the Americas Land Products business.

  • Expand Applanix into at least two new market segments with proven revenue contribution.

  • Build a sustainable, repeatable sales engine for continued market capture.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Geomatics, or related technical field.

    • 2-4 years' sales or business development experience with a demonstrated track record in new business acquisition.

    • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.

    • Experience working with or developing channel partners is an asset.

    • Confident in technical solution selling; geospatial industry experience preferred but not mandatory.

    • Ability to travel 25-30% within the Americas.
