In the role of Strategic Communications Administrator, we'll count on you to:
- Support the development of content for various communication channels to support client projects
- Work closely with team members, including communications team as well as technical staff (engineers, architects, environmental specialists) to implement communications tasks
- Support project teams at in-person and/or virtual open house/public meetings including site selection, logistics, and planning.
- Research, write and edit project narratives and case studies
- Coordinate with the team and help with the development of graphics, visualizations, mailing lists, content, printing or mailing
- Develop project communications summaries and reports
- Bring genuine, creative ideas to the table
- Help develop, fine tune and follow established processes for client projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the communications field of expertise: content development, social media, event planning, community/public engagement, and communications planning
- Bachelor's degree in closely related field (or equivalent years of experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, process oriented, with the ability to manage tasks and work independently when needed
- High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues - ability to be resourceful
- Comfortable and competent while working with senior leaders and managing cross-functional efforts
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with multiple teams
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
