Title:Mgr Startup & Commissioning POSITION CONCEPT: The Mgr Startup and Commissioning will oversee all Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Startup activities associated with Outage and Project Management led projects. This includes management oversight of the work and coordinating with internal and external departments to ensure safe, prudent and optimal execution of all component level, system level and integrated facility level testing activities and turnover processes, including development, tracking and resolution of punch list items. Coordinates with station operations departments to develop and implement power plant operational best practices initiatives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree from an accredited college or relevant Engineering Technology Degree. SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: Preferred: 3 years of supervision experience. LISCENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Preferred: PE License. EXPERIENCE: Required: 8 years of experience directly related to power plant operations, maintenance,construction, commissioning or engineering. Experience of technical problem solving in anoperational environment. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Required: Working knowledge of power plant design, basic plant processes and chemical reactions.Strong attention to detail, good planning skills, good written/verbal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment and a heightened awareness for safety is required. Must have an adaptable and flexible approach to work. Must have sound knowledge of safety, health and environment, especially with regard to risk, safe systems of work and regulatory requirements.
