Role:

To handle check card functions in compliance with bank policies and Regulation E; duties include check card maintenance, check card and ATM disputes, and check card fraud monitoring; to back up other functions in the Electronic Banking Department.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Handles check card and ATM disputes in compliance with bank policies and Regulation E.

Handles check card compromise issues, including check card reissuance and maintenance.

Monitors check card usage for fraud; handles alerts from the VISA Compromised Account Management System (CAMS); reviews and manages reports from FIS; works with FIS fraud support services; works with various law enforcement agencies.

Develops and maintains procedures; is a resource for training bank personnel on card issues; assists in responding to audit findings and recommendations.

Serves as a backup for other Deposit Support functions, including wires.

Performance Measurements:

1.

To comply with the letter and with the spirit of the bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

2.

To strive to keep a minimum level of card losses, for customer or the Bank, as a result of security breaches or failure to have implemented proper security techniques within the bank. Document Monitor and report losses as needed.

3.

To encourage and support the customer usage of all bank electronic products.

4.

To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all customers and employees.

5.

To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.

6.

To maintain the confidentiality of customer and any other sensitive information.

7.

To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.

8.

To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education

(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills

Requires a working understanding of technology and how it can be used to deliver bank services. Also requires experience and understanding of all traditional bank services. Must possess good investigative and communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team; must be well organized and detail-oriented; must be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Physical Requirements

The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
