Director of Athletics key responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic vision, plans, policies, procedures, and programs that comply with the University, the Great Southwest Athletic Conference, and the NAIA rules and regulations, which promote the mission of the Athletic Department, the University's high standard of academic excellence, and the overall student-athlete experience. Oversee budget planning and finanical operations, ensuring responsible fiscal management of the athletic department. Ensures all employees in the Athletics Department exhibit a high degree of personal integrity in support of the University's Mission. Recruit, hire, and supervise coaching and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment, while proritizing the academic success, personal development, and well-being of student athletes. Oversee maintenance and improvement of athletic facilites while mitigating risk factors related to sport activites. Monitors and evaluates the condition of our ERAU athletic facilities, including inspection for safety, as well as recommends through comparison with other conferences, the GSAC Conference, and national standards, any necessary changes to meet the standards and improve the student-athlete experience at Embry-Riddle. Engage in fundraising activities to support athletic programs, facilites, and scholarships. Develops and implements programs to increase revenue sources for the Department. Excepted to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the athletic department, which could include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
