The Opportunity The Director of Veteran Student Services manages, coordinates, and monitors all operational activities pertaining to the administration of veteran education and training programs, the delivery of programs and support services to veterans, veteran dependents, service members, reservists, and other eligible students at the Daytona Beach Campus. Designated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as a university School Certifying Official (SCO), the director is responsible for the proper program administration of federal and state veteran education programs including reporting, program audits, payments, overpayments, compliance, and audit coordination. The director must keep current on all federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines as they relate to veteran education programs and interpreting those policies and procedures mandated by the U.S. Departments of Veterans Affairs to ensure university compliance. As a key member of the Student Support team on the Daytona Beach campus, the director engages with faculty, staff, student organizations, and regional partners to augment efforts associated with student engagement and retention for all students using VA benefits.
