Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Provide the Consumer and Small Business solutions architecture team with proven delivery on innovations with strong focus on Cloud technology within the Payment and Merchant Technology space Deliver Omni-channel solutions within traditional payment networks and trending payment networks including virtual wallets and merchant services Serve as a key architect in architecture strategy, solutions and delivery Participate in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements Contribute to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions Develop prototypes of the system design and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provide tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations, as well as mentor newer Architects Provide input on staffing, budget and personnel Plan, develop, organize, build and test service and API integration services Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience. 5+ years financial services industry experience At least 3+ years of experience in integration services programming and Architecture 2+ years proven experience in delivery innovated and newer trends in payments/financial networks - specific examples required Strong hands on experience with cloud technologies - with a focus on AWS Knowledge of Merchant data/object/service models Knowledge of HSMs and security models Knowledge of network integration with 3rd party networks including ISVs and Card Networks Effective communication skills Demonstrated ability to document processes and platform architecture into sustainable documents Strong use of visuals skills, ability to convene points with graphics and illustrations Ability to simplify complex information Strong attention to detail Desired skills: 8+ years financial services industry experience 2+ years Digital payment implementation experience Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences Ability to simplify complex information Familiarity with financial services and payments and payment processing Experience working in large organizations and understanding of the culture these large organizations brin Pay Range: $60.24-$68.24 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
