The Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Market Intelligence to oversee revenue performance for GovExec's suite of business development resources and tools (GovTribe/ MarketEdge, Power Almanac, WashingtonTechnology subscriptions), enable our sales team, and represent GovExec as a trusted GovCon market expert.

This is a unique opportunity for a leader who thrives at the intersection of revenue growth and market expertise. The ideal candidate will bring credibility and depth in the GovCon market, energy for enabling sales teams and engaging customers, and a strong presence as a visible advocate for our products, specifically GovTribe, in the GovCon ecosystem. Success in this role means helping to scale a fast-growing SaaS platform while shaping the future of government market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Management
    • Own Market Intelligence revenue targets, forecasting, and pipeline performance.
    • Partner with AEs and AMs on renewals, upsells, and new business growth.
    • Track and report on performance against revenue goals.
  • Subject Matter Expertise
    • Serve as a GovCon BD expert for internal teams and GovTribe customers.
    • Advise on procurement trends, acquisition strategies, and competitive landscape.
    • Partner with marketing on thought leadership content, campaigns, webinars, and analyst-style content.
    • Support sales conversations by articulating GovTribe's value proposition and key differentiators.
  • Go-To-Market Execution and Enablement
    • Develop and implement strategic go-to-market plans for new tools/ offerings, ensuring alignment across product, marketing, revenue, and customer success.
    • Develop sales tools, collateral, and training to improve positioning and win rates.
    • Deliver internal briefings and thought leadership to strengthen GovTribe's credibility.
  • Market Engagement
    • Represent GovExec at industry events, conferences, and client presentations.
    • Build strong executive relationships in the GovCon community.
    • Act as a public-facing advocate for GovTribe's market intelligence solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with other GovExec business units to ensure GovTribe customers receive maximum value from the GovExec ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B or B2G sales, with proven success engaging clients in complex, solution-oriented environments.
  • 4+ years of people management experience, leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement, RFP/RFI processes, and GovCon sales cycles.
  • Proven track record managing revenue targets and supporting enterprise sales teams.
  • Comfortable presenting to executive audiences and at industry events.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.

The compensation range for this role is from $225,000 to 250,000 per year, inclusive of base salary and commission potential.
