Location: Northfield Community Education Center

Scheduled Hours/Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays from approximately 3:15 - 8:15pm.

Qualifications:
High School Degree or GED
Knowledge of Adult Basic Education programming and policies, preferred
Understanding of basic computer, office equipment and software
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of adult learners, preferred

Pay Rate/Range: $21.20/hr.-22.93/hr, 20256-2026 Office Agreement

Compensation/Benefits/Perks: This position does not qualify for benefits

Deadline: Open Until filled - EOE -- (09/29/2025) Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check.

Job Summary:
The ABE Office Generalist provides general clerical and student and staff support for Adult Basic Education programming, including, but not limited to, Adult English Language Learners and GED classes.

Responsibilities:
• Support Afternoon/Evening Adult Basic Education classes at the Northfield Community Education Center.
• Welcome and greet students
• Register new students
• Administer and proctor student assessments
• Record data following MN Department of Education guidelines
• Provide outreach to students
• Support teachers and staff
• Administer and proctor GED testing
