Platform Sourcing Leader

The Platform Sourcing Leader (PSL) is responsible for driving all
sourcing activities within assigned platforms/modules (e.g., Chassis, PAD,
Seats) as part of cross-functional product development squads. PSLs ensure
that sourcing targets related to cost, quality, delivery, risk, and
sustainability are fully met.

The PSL is accountable for
end-to-end sourcing execution and holds commercial responsibility for sourced
components and suppliers until formal handover to Commodity Managers, following
a defined post-launch transition period.

Key Tasks
1. Lead Sourcing Activities in Product Development Projects
* Fully accountable for all sourcing deliverables from project
initiation until production readiness.
* Independently manage supplier identification, RFQs, negotiations,
contract preparation, and supplier onboarding.
* Seek formal approval for supplier selection from the Director of
Sourcing and Director of Supplier Quality before final nomination.
* Ensure sourcing activities are completed in line with project
milestones, cost targets, and time-to-market goals.

2. Embedded Cross-Functional Team Member
* Operate as an integrated member of the cross-functional product
development squad.
* Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning,
stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
* Represent sourcing risks, commercial conditions, and supply
readiness in all squad-level decisions.

3. Maintain Post-Launch Commercial Responsibility

* Maintain full commercial responsibility for sourced components and
suppliers for a period of six (6) months after product launch (SOP).
* During this period:
* Act as Commodity Manager for those specific products/components.
* Handle ongoing negotiations, price adjustments, and supplier
performance monitoring.
* Resolve any commercial or supply issues tied to production ramp-up.
* Ensure structured and documented handover to assigned Commodity
Managers after the transition period.

4. Sourcing Concept and Strategy Implementation

* Define and implement platform-specific Sourcing Concept Studies
including:
* Supplier coverage
* Supplier regions
* Cost structure and target cost models
* Risk profiles
* Propose platform sourcing KPIs to Group Sourcing leadership and seek
formal approval.
* Maintain structured reporting on sourcing progress, risk status, and
commercial performance.

5. Governance and Group Sourcing Alignment
* Operate fully within Group Sourcing policies and Supplier Quality
frameworks.
* Ensure full compliance with legal, ethical, and sustainability
requirements in all sourcing activities.
* Formal approval must be obtained from Director of Sourcing and
Director of Supplier Quality for:
* Supplier nominations
* Platform sourcing KPIs and performance targets

6. Regular Status Reporting and Leadership Alignment

* Schedule and conduct regular review meetings with the Director of
Sourcing (direct manager):
* Present the current status of sourcing KPIs.
* Report project progress, challenges, and risks.
* Proactively request support or escalation from leadership to secure
necessary resources or decisions.
* Maintain transparent and
proactive communication channels with both Director of Sourcing and Director of
Supplier Quality.

Your Background

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or
economics and/or equivalent work experience from strategic sourcing, supply
chain or similar positions Professional education through accrediting
organizations and/or equivalent work experience in:
* Certified purchaser
* Legal awareness
* Business negotiation
* Supplier evaluation/auditing and supplier
development
* Lean production
* Supply chain management and logistics
* Quality systems and control
* Supplier relationship management
* Risk management
* Category management
Other
qualifications or experiences.
