The Morton Arboretum's People and Culture team is seeking a coordinator to play a vital role in supporting our commitment to an engaged and inclusive workplace culture. In this role, the selected candidate will facilitate employee onboarding processes, provide broad administrative and project coordination, and organize recognition programs to promote positive employee relations and foster employee engagement. The selected individual will join a team dedicated to supporting the needs of the Arboretum staff, which helped earn the designation as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for four consecutive years. Location : Hybrid (TheMorton Arboretum, Lisle IL) Position Summary: Provide broad administrative support to the People and Culture department. Coordinate processes for all incoming employees and maintain departmental records and systems. Monitor and maintain departmental expenses. Coordinate staff recognition programs to promote positive employee relations and foster employee engagement. Essential Functions:
Qualifications: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience required. Related experience in a human resources or project coordination capacity preferred. Executive-level support experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Google applications, project management software, and HR/Payroll systems beneficial. Success Factors: Highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks at various stages of execution and with frequent interruptions. Ability to adapt to changes with new technologies and evolving trends. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Outgoing, friendly, and energetic individual who is able to relate effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds, education, ages, and experiences. Conversational Spanish a plus. The expected hiring range for this nonexempt position is annualized at $52,000-$57,000 based on experience that will be evaluated during the candidate selection process.
