Summary
Responsible for oversight of maintaining an inventory of cardiac ultrasound supplies, leading echocardiography technologists and maintaining cardiac ultrasound equipment. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions Performs high quality echocardiographic examinations according to the ARIC study protocol in a timely manner. -Ensures that images and records are properly completed with participant identification data and appropriate labeling. -Discusses any relevant clinical findings with the center manager and/or supervising physician to ensure timely follow-up. -Orient and train other echo technicians. -Ensures proper participant preparation, verifies screening protocols, and answers questions. -Performs quality control on assigned equipment and reports issues timely.
