Responsibilities

Employee will provide support to the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office (TAC) which is the primary integration testing and quality assurance organization. Employee will assist with providing independent verification and validation of software and hardware, and information system releases prior to operations.

  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Develops and programs integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments.
  • Develops and communicates descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms.
  • In product/systems improvement projects: uses machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy.
  • In both theoretical development environments and specific product design, implementation and improvement environments, uses current programming language and technologies to translate algorithms and technical specifications into code.
  • Completes programming and implements efficiencies, performs testing and debugging.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Applies deep learning technologies to give computers the capability to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations.
  • Adapts machine learning to areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics and other products that allow users to have an interactive experience.
  • Works with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems and modeling environments.
  • Applies knowledge of experimental methodologies, statistics, optimization, probability theory and machine learning using code for tool building, statistical analysis and modeling, using both general purpose software and statistical languages.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experienced collections manager.
  • Experience as a trainer or course developer in the imagery field.
  • Working knowledge of coding/scripting techniques.
  • Ability to use at least one of the various Electronic Light Tables (ELTs).
  • Experience working directly with or general knowledge of PAN, IR, MSI, RADAR, LIDAR, and FMV imagery and associated products, such as Full Spectrum GEOINT (FSG).
  • Knowledge or experience in all facets of imagery exploitation, artifact/anomaly identification, and NIIRS quality scales.
  • Basic Order of Battle knowledge for the purposes of equipment identification.
  • Ability to use all primary ELTs, including Remote View, SOCET GXP, Erdas IMAGINE, and other similar programs.
  • Self-starter who requires minimum supervision.
  • Ability to assume a team lead role for the work group.
  • Specialist on complex technical and business matters
  • Ability to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.
  • Able to develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems.
  • Experience guiding and supporting junior level personnel.
  • Requires guidance only when dealing with new, uncertain, undefined or undeveloped tasks.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills

Desired:

  • Successful completion of an accredited imagery analysis training program either via the U.S. military or a civilian government agency.
  • Able to work independently

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
