Description
This team member is involved in planning, designing, and developing Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse solutions that enhance analytics and reporting capabilities. These efforts create value for the company by significantly altering internal processes or bringing new technology to bear in important business activities. The Power BI Developer works closely with business unit and technical management staff to accomplish the following:
- Act as liaison between technology teams and business areas by trouble-shooting and translating technical problems related to reports and report data.
- Assist business users on functional and data requirements to enhance reports and report data.
- Supports business data experts on select data repositories and provides support for project implementations and modifications impacting data repositories.
- Follows best practices and guidelines to support dashboards, metrics, scorecards, and reporting solutions providing a high level of customer service with an emphasis on partnership and collaboration.
- Assists with investigating, reviewing and analyzing data from multiple internal and external sources in order to maintain quality and understands the source structures and business relevance of the data
- Performs analysis and design by translating business requirements and developing reporting and dashboard solutions that yield relevant business information in a user-friendly format by collecting, analyzing and leveraging data.
- Monitors recurring processes and ensures output accuracy and timely distribution. Responsible for maintenance, documentation, and enhancements of recurring processes and procedures.
- Follows best practices in data modeling and source-to-target mapping.
- Performs planned maintenance (e.g., application upgrades, releases, enhancements, service packs, etc.) on BI solutions and underlying infrastructure.
- Ensures that adequate security procedures are developed and followed.
- Contributes technical knowledge and understanding of applications to training programs, support processes, and operating procedures.
**Onsite in Oklahoma City** Position Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics or equivalent working experience
- 3+ years' experience in writing SQL
- Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and service (Power BI, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
- Strong understanding of Data Analytics application security layer model
- 1-2 years of experience developing reports, researching, analyzing and problem-solving using end-user tools such as Microsoft Access/VBA, SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise and SSRS.
- 1-2 years of experience developing dashboard solutions with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
- Expertise with database and data warehouse designs, data modeling, data performance tuning, data integration.
- Knowledge and applied documentation experience with a variety of industry concepts, methodologies, and frameworks within data warehouse and business intelligence field including requirements, architecture, and design documentation.
