Coke Florida is searching for a Director, Commercial Planning and Strategy to work out of our Tampa HQ facility.



What You'll Do:


The Director of Commercial Planning & Strategy is a critical Stewardship role for Coke Florida. The role is responsible for leading, managing and directing the entirety of the Annual Commercial Planning Process across the enterprise.



The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of marketing, sales, and customer development - This role brings together insights, brand & channel strategy, and sales activation to deliver high-impact, channel-specific commercialization plans, translating strategy into actionable playbooks, customer plans, and field execution tools.



This leader will exercise "influence" across commercial, sales and operations leaders in the organization to ensure they develop timely deliverables and content that is necessary to drive organizational initiatives to achieve our annual volume, profit and revenue targets. This role will serve as the initial planning touchpoint with the NAOU Franchise Team with regards to Innovation, GOAT Programs (North American National Big Bets) and any other Brand Driven Initiatives. This role will also serve as the main POC with external Brand Partners including Monster, Fairlife/Core Power, Body Armor/Powerade.



Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Lead (with the VP of Marketing) the annual Commercial Planning Process for Coke Florida from a Marketing perspective.
  • Own the Coke Florida "localization" FY calendar of Brand/Consumer Priorities
  • Customize selling stories for all GOAT programs & Innovation to "hand-off" to Shopper Marketing via Playbooks
  • Oversee the team that manages all Brand/Consumer Experiential Events, Media, Social & Digital for Florida Market
  • Drive Brand amplification programs together with Sales/PGM
  • Own Annual Core Sku Rationalization Process
  • Own the development of Annual Progressions and POG's leveraging insights from new innovation, marketplace feedback and category drivers/drags.
  • Coach/Suport/Lead the manager responsible for Trimester Planning Meetings, Sales Rallies - Planning, coordination and content development
  • Co-Own the Segmentation Strategy to be implemented across all 4 regions
  • Support the VP of Marketing in the annual AOP Plan development
  • Responsible for building a suite of reports that provide different levels of the organization with Data and insights channel and categories' performance (volume, share, distribution, velocity, etc.) and use insights to guide strategy refinement.



This person will be instrumental in leading and will have direct responsibility for the Commercial Planning & Capabilities, Category Management, Space Planning, Digital Media and Experiential Marketing efforts.



For This Role, You Will Need:



  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years Category Management, Shopper Marketing and/or high-level Sales experience.
  • Experience in working with retail Sales/Customer teams in the development of Customer-facing sales material in implementing marketing programs and innovation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both retail and food service industry, preferably in the beverage category.
  • Proven leader of teams, with track record of inspiring others, driving results, and building collaboration.
  • Superior written and verbal communication.
  • Strong track record of analytics, with the ability to leverage KPIs towards future learnings
  • Ability to develop and implement performance management routine aligned to Annual Business Plan targets and plan drivers


  • Able to take Consumer and Category based information data and insights and translate them to actionable strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive Playbooks to enable better selling at the Field and Customer level.
  • Well versed on Beverage Category management tools & capabilities to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Able to work cross-functionally with a variety of partners on commercial strategies and opportunities including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have experience leveraging category insights to determine assortment and space optimization.


  • Leverage Consumer knowledge and insights to monitor trends and set strategic direction.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a dynamic team of Marketing professionals.
