Epic ClinDoc Senior Application Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Application Analyst with Epic certification in Inpatient Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc). In this role, you will use your extensive knowledge of clinical or business requirements, application capabilities, and your technical skills. The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of new applications, upgrades, and modifications to existing systems and assisting in the coordination of these efforts. The Senior Application Analyst is also responsible for the application configuration, go-live support, and on-going support, and will work on multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities: Application Implementation & Configuration
  • Install new applications and components; upgrade existing systems.
  • Configure application settings and validate configurations completed by Application Analysts.
  • Create system specifications based on user requirements and operational workflows.
Go-Live & Rollout Support
  • Provide hands-on support during go-live phases and rollout of new modules or functionality.
  • Support end users in adopting new systems and features.
System Analysis & Optimization
  • Analyze clinical and business needs to determine optimal system solutions.
  • Interpret end-user requirements and guide clients toward effective outcomes.
  • Identify potential issues and evaluate workflows for improvement.
  • Proactively monitor applications to recommend enhancements and increase efficiency.
Testing & Documentation
  • Develop and execute test plans for new systems, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Document testing outcomes and review work completed by Application Analysts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and training materials; assist in user education.
Troubleshooting & Support
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for application issues; resolve critical problems independently.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams or vendors.
  • Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues as needed.
  • Deliver professional customer support on a 24x7 rotating basis.
  • Provide on-site support within the Montefiore Health System when needed.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between Montefiore Technology and Epic or other vendors.
  • Manage vendor communications and coordinate hardware/software installations.
  • Meet regularly with users to review open requests, current needs, and outstanding issues.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Assist and mentor Application Analysts and team members.
  • Foster skill development and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Build strong client relationships and support business improvement initiatives.
Presentation & Communication
  • Deliver clear, effective presentations to stakeholders, leadership, and end users to communicate findings, solutions, and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Epic certification in Inpatient Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc).
  • 5+ years of related clinical or business experience
  • Knowledge of inpatient workflows.
  • Application/System implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience
  • Strong desktop skills, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers and management
  • Presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • On a rotational basis, provide remote 24 x 7 on-call support
  • On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its' affiliates.
  • MEETING ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

Desired:
* Expertise in Epic Clinical documentation tools and Text utilities
* Epic certification in ClinDoc, Orders, or Ambulatory.
* Programming skills
