Job DescriptionThe Assistant role is an entry-level position that plays a key role in enhancing office productivity by managing detailed aspects of calendar management, travel arrangements, and document preparation. The Assistant is expected to complete administrative duties efficiently, showcasing an ability to solve problems and manage office operations effectively. This localized support position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The Assistant will support one or more departments or programs and report to a front-line manager with moderate supervision.

This starting salary for this position will range from $33,280 to $34,564.98 based upon previous experience. Essential Functions:
Demonstrate TSTC Core Values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity.
Manage and coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and appointments with increased responsibility.
Prepare travel arrangements and itineraries for departmental staff, demonstrating attention to detail.
Develop and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations with minimal supervision.
Proactively manage the pace and workflow of the office, identifying areas for process improvement.
Coordinate and oversee specific projects or events, contributing to their successful execution.
Exercise discretion and professionalism when working with confidential information.
Assist in compiling data for preparing routine and special reports.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to manage complex schedules and prepare travel arrangements with supervision.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions related to office operations.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
