Summary: The Surimi Lead III positions lead processing lines dedicated to surimi production, working with specialized machinery and equipment for processing fish into surimi. This position is responsible for the operation of the surimi line and monitoring the decanter moisture. Note: Surimi Lead III residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered. Work environment (includes travel/on-call): While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical demands: Surimi staff may be required to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy loads and working in cold environments. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
