Strategic Development Specialist

Bolton & Menk is expanding, and we are looking for a Strategic Development Specialist to assist in our efforts. Bolton & Menk, Inc. has served public and private clients with comprehensive planning, design and construction engineering and surveying services.

We are looking to add a Strategic Development Specialist who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in a Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Community! In this role you will be responsible for the development and implementation of business solutions, thought leadership and support for our Twin Cities and Emerging Markets teams. You will be building and maintaining superior customer relations while exploring solutions to fit our clients specific needs and generate meaningful project outcomes. This position will also include business development, mentoring and collaborating with our teams to help generate new business and client successes. You'll have the confidence that you're joining a growing business line in an established firm and can team with great leaders.

This role will be part time with benefits, and we will work with you on a schedule that is mutually beneficial between 20-30 hours per week on average.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Inspire strategic vision that drives client success and growth by building and maintaining client relationships
• Proactively identify and contact potential new clients, candidates and strategic partners
• Network and build relationships with new or existing clients at industry events and advocating Bolton & Menk interests
• Ensure project teams develop and delivers strategic solutions for clients
• Perform business development prospecting and provide progress reporting and recommendations for project pursuits
• Support large/complex project positioning and pursuits by:
  
  
  
  • Developing key points of project understanding
  • Researching client/community concerns and priorities.
  • Analyzing interrelationships with other associated projects, their owners and stakeholders, and their priorities.
  • Assisting with consultant partnership evaluations and strategies.
  • Developing project-specific win strategies and tactics for inclusion in proposals.
  
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For:

• B.S. Degree from an accredited college
• Fifteen (15) or more years of progressive experience
• Strong understanding of local and regional government
• Effective supervisory and team leadership skills
• Requires travel and may include extended overnight stays
• Possess valid driver's license

Salary Range: $62,400 - $117,000 depending on years of experience and credentials
