Requirements: Must have General Ledger accounting experience, consumer loans processing experience and proficiency in Excel.


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Daily Responsibilities:



  • Review Daily Postings for assigned Sun Loan offices.
  • Review Drawer Summary Report for assigned Sun Loan offices.
  • Review Cash Report for assigned Sun Loan offices.
  • Investigate cash overages/shortages and assist manager with posting of corrections.


Monthly Responsibilities:



  • Merging,Posting and adjusting all general ledger entries from assigned offices.
  • Balance Note Payable account with TLB balance making any necessary adjustments.
  • Review and note any differences in computed Branch Reported Profit.
  • Review Interest, Unearned Charges/Factor and General Fees for assigned offices.
  • Review, create and post Journal Entries for assigned offices.
  • Post General Fee Journal Entry for assigned offices.
  • Review income statements and balance sheets prior to closing each month and investigate unusual items.
  • Email reimbursement billings to assigned offices.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable monthly.
  • Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations,recording of correcting entries and adjustments to offices.



General Duties:



  • Assist loan office managers with bookkeeping problems.
  • Advise loan office supervisors, District Managers and Control Accounting Supervisor of unusual transactions or chronic problems occurring at the offices, including fraudulent bank items and cash timing discrepancies.
  • Assist other Staff Accountants, supervisor District Managers, Controller and CFO as needed.
