Position Summary:

The Materials Coordinator at Carfair plays a critical role in the supply chain process, ensuring that materials are effectively scheduled and coordinated to meet production demands. This position acts as a key communication link between customers, suppliers, and the production team, ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities include:

1. Manage customer requirements and production schedules for material releases.

2. Process and enter customer orders while maintaining consistent communication regarding shipping schedules.

3. Review and ensure all customer Purchase Orders (POs) are complete and accurate with the necessary documentation.

4. Schedule pickups and coordinate shipping logistics for customer shipments.

5. Serve as a liaison between customers and production teams, addressing capacity, schedule, and prioritization issues.

6. Collaborate with production supervisors to meet daily shipping timelines.

7. Oversee materials coordination across departments including engineering, QA, and manufacturing.

8. Monitor past-due demands and implement strategies to reduce them.

9. Manage intercompany transfers of finished goods.

10. Prepare production tags and maintain organized work order documentation.

11. Ensure compliance with customer packaging and shipment identification requirements.

12. Facilitate the pickup and return of customer parts as needed.

13. Accurately implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into relevant jobs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or operations.

- 1-3 years of experience in office and document management.

- Understanding of production planning and control processes.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

- Capable of performing physical tasks such as walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.

- Proficient with computers and office equipment.

- High school diploma or GED required.
