|  -  The Fixed/Mobile Guard is responsible for vehicle and pedestrian security screening, perimeter surveillance, internal mobile patrols, operation of mail screening equipment, and use of USG communication and web-based applications in an Emergency Operations Center. This position is being posted in anticipation of a future vacancy. We are building a pipeline of qualified candidates and do not expect immediate employment in the near term. RESPONSIBILITIES 
    
 Control personnel and vehicle entry and exit of Entry Control PointsInspect all deliveries and vehicles up to Force Protection Condition Delta per Kuwait Security Support Services Standard Operations Procedures for installation accessControl and operate U.S. Government-installed barrier devices to prevent unauthorized vehicle accessManage military and contracted convoys at designated Entry Control PointsConduct inspections of personnel and vehicles using systems such as: Ion Scanners, Backscatter X-Ray machines, Under-Vehicle-Surveillance Systems, and Mobile Vehicle X-Ray Scanning machinesOther duties as assigned
 QUALIFICATIONS 
    
 Active U.S. Secret Clearance preferred, for which a US citizenship is requiredMust pass a Criminal Background Check at both the State and National (NCIC) level prior to hireMust be 21 years of age or olderMust have two years of combined honorable active-duty military, law enforcement, or private security experience in a contingency areaMust have received an honorable discharge as verified by a form DD-214 (U.S. Military)Must be able to pass a physical examination, meet U.S. Army height and weight operational standards (not initial recruiting standards), and pass a physical fitness testMust be able to meet all labor requirements by the host country
 Physical Requirements 
    
 Drag, carry, lift, and/or pull a person or object up to 150 lbs.
 
    
 Use physical force to detain a subject or prevent unauthorized entry
 
    
 Prolonged standing, sustained patrol on foot and in a vehicle
 
    
 Sustained pursuit of a suspect on foot
 
    
 Dodging, crawling, climbing, and rapid ascent/descent of stairs
 
    
 Perform all duties wearing duty equipment, including ballistic and CBRN personal protective equipment under adverse conditions
 
    
 Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
 Performing the above requires: 
    
 Stability in consciousness and control of voluntary motor functions
 
    
 Maintain mental alertness, deductive, and inductive reasoning, memory, and judgment
 
    
 Identify colors, read placards and street signs, and respond to hazardous situations in low light
 
    
 Perform duties temporarily without eyeglasses if necessary
 
    
 Communicate effectively under noisy circumstances with potential voice obstruction by PPE
 
    
 Distinguish low intensity voice sounds from background noise
 
    
 Work in closed or confined spaces
 
    
 Judge distances closer than 13 feet by testing or practical field test
 
    
 Direct traffic or perform crowd control
 
    
 Maintain balance under adverse conditions, weight loads, and above-ground heights
 
    
 Properly and effectively wear PPE, including to prevent exposure to chemical, biological, or radiological agents
 
    
 Maintain sensory acuity and expression sufficient for essential communication while using PPE
 
    
 Demonstrate adequate motor power, dynamic strength, range of motion, neuromuscular coordination, stamina, gross body coordination, and dexterity
 
    
 Pass an annual Physical Ability Test per AR 190-56
