Our Company The Opportunity Are you a passionate designer ready to imagine, iterate, and complete across multiple design directions and workflows? Are you someone who favors interactive prototypes over flat mockups? Perhaps someone who also has a keen business sense and the ability to craft design directions that are creative and scale Adobe's design products? This is your opportunity to join a dynamic growing team, think holistically about design, and help build the future of creative tools for creative people just like you. What You'll Do * Get up to speed with the topic/problem: You will meet with collaborators to understand their needs, including designers, product managers, developers and other researchers. After reviewing previous research, you will propose your own study that strives to provide new insight for Adobe. * Own your research: You will develop key artifacts needed to complete your study, including a research plan and data collection method. Then you will start your research! * Communicate findings and recommendations through storytelling: You will work with your mentor to present what you've learned and be decisive on what Adobe should do next. You will manage multiple opportunities to share your research before you leave Adobe, including meetings with core collaborators, the Intern Project Expo and Adobe Design's intern showcase. What You Need to Succeed * PhD degree in psychology (social, cognitive, or applied), sociology, human-computer interaction, information science, statistics; or equivalent degree required. (Coursework on data science is a plus.) * * Previous project, internship or work experience in quantitative user research. We are curious about your experience with data storytelling and communicating complex data analyses to a general audience. * Ability to recognize systemic inequities in technology and design. Coursework or experience in product equity, accessibility, inclusive design, or similar practices is a plus. * Experience applying statistical analysis methods (e.g., descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis, text analytics) and working with R, SQL, SPSS, Power BI, Python, or equivalent. * Ability to communicate research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact. * Experience building open, positive relationships in teams with many moving parts.
