To Acts as a team leader and mentor for the Environmental Service Aide; start and close the shift when assigned by the EVS supervisor; follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures; fill in for the Supervisor (with limited responsibilities) when they are out on PTO; communicate with the EVS supervisor and fellow Senior Aide all staffing concerns, any lapse in service, and malfunctioning equipment during the change of shift; monitor discharge cleaning through the EPIC Bed Management System; respond to emergent calls and service requests in a timely manner; performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following correct procedures; remove and replace patient privacy curtains; remove and replace hospital furniture including but not limited to the patient bed when requested and or directed; transport housekeeping supplies to staff when requested or directed; unpack and stock housekeeping supplies; operate office equipment (telephone, fax machine, and copier) and office network system; maintain all necessary reports as relates to quality, quantity and timeliness of work performed. Qualifications EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read write and speak English. Abliity to speak Spanish preferred. EXPERIENCE 2 years of environmental services experience required. LICENSURE ***None required*** SPECIAL SKILLS Good communication skills both written and verbal. Must be computer literate and able to use carpet and floor machines. PHYSICAL DEMAND Moderate amount of walking required with bending or stooping, and lifting of heavy objects, and operating of light YNHHS Requisition ID 161031 |
