Essential Job Functions |
Flight Path Program - The primary purpose of the Student Account Advisor position is to serve as a dedicated and proactive point of contact for students, guiding them through the complexities of their university financial accounts. This role is crucial for fostering student financial literacy and success.
This is accomplished by:
Providing expert advising and counseling to students and families on matters related to tuition, fees, billing, payment options, and financial aid disbursement via phone, email, and video conferencing.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position |
Knowledge of and experience in Customer Service, Cashiering, and Data Entry.
Work requires specialized knowledge in the processing and application of information, documents and/or materials.
Work requires knowledge of program policies, procedures and information systems in order to communicate and process information |
Preferred Qualifications |
Prefer individual with experience in customer service and communication with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Banner Student and Banner Finance;
Must have strong customer service skills
Working knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
Working knowledge in receiving and disbursing cash. |

Work Environment: The duties of this position are typically performed in a professional office environment at our Boone, NC campus. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. Stationary Work: This is primarily a sedentary role. The employee must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods while working at a desk and operating a computer. Communication: Requires the constant ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Must be able to exchange accurate information in person, over the phone, via email, and during video conferences. Manual Dexterity: Involves frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are common. Visual Acuity: The employee must have the close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Mobility & Lifting: Occasional movement within the office is required to access files, printers, and attend meetings. The role may require the ability to lift and carry light objects, such as presentation materials or files, up to 15 pounds. Presenting: The position requires the ability to stand and move for periods of time while conducting student orientation sessions and other presentations.
