Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Work with the dev team to clarify/break down requirements Work with business users to understand requirements and be the first point of contact for any user issues Requirements: 10+ years' experience, incl. 3+ as BA/FA Gen AI project execution and prompt design for LLMs Knowledge of AI tools, embeddings, and vector DBs Python and SQL proficiency Business and functional requirements gathering (FSD, UAT, testing) SDLC knowledge and techno-functional delivery experience Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills Ability to balance stakeholder demands with IT needs Leadership and collaboration across multiple domains Works well under pressure in fast-paced environments Knowledge sharing, training, and relationship-building Hands-on experience building POCs with Python/Streamlit Strong working knowledge of Gen AI model fine-tuning and vector databases Prior experience in CFO/Finance domain projects Exposure to data sourcing, validation, and reporting workflows Experience driving cross-functional projects with multiple business units Proven ability to translate strategy into execution in complex organizations Curious and proactive - consistently seeks improvements and challenges the status quo Analytical and detail-oriented - quickly identifies root causes and delivers actionable insights Business-savvy and tech-fluent - able to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions Strong communicator - simplifies complex topics and influences stakeholders effectively Collaborative leader - builds trust, shares knowledge, and uplifts team performance Resilient and adaptable - thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Results-driven - balances speed with quality, ensuring both business impact and IT alignment Large Language Models (LLMs) Prompt Engineering/Prompt Design Vector Database (Vector DB) Embeddings/Embedding Models Python (Streamlit, Pandas, NumPy, SQL integration) Techno-Functional Analyst/Business Analyst/Functional Analyst FSD (Functional Specification Document) UAT (User Acceptance Testing) SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) Data Validation/Data Quality/Data Sourcing Finance Transformation/CFO Domain Cross-functional Stakeholder Management DataConnect, Forecast Connect Pay Range: $58.26-$66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
