The Role:

Our site in Aurora, IL is seeking a Senior Director, Analytical Laboratories to join our team. This position will be responsible for leading theMaterials Solutions Global Analytical R&D Services team.Reporting to the VP of R&D for Materials Solutions, this position willmanage the analytical R&D laboratories worldwide which includes support of new product introductions to the semiconductor industry. This position will also be responsible for leading laboratory activities including developing new analytical methods, establishing best practices in data collection, analysis and quality. This leadership extends to developing analytical roadmaps in support of our NPI needs, supporting ISO9000 &ISO17025 compliance,staff development, and meeting service level requirements for analytical services.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Division's global analytical laboratories including but not limited to driving best practices in support of our analytical operations, developing new analytical capabilities in support of new product introduction (NPI), management of our global Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs), and provide measurement services to operations, R&D, and customers.

  • Lead the Division's initiative to enable innovations which cross business units and to other Divisions within Entegris which result in new analytical technologies and methods.

  • Develop and execute the Division analytical intellectual property strategy in conjunction with Entegris Legal and the Business Units Leaders.

  • Collaborate with customers, research institutes, and other industry partners to enable effective innovation in analytical technology which results in product differentiation for Entegris.

  • Develop/maintain an analytical technology roadmap which enables product pipelines with a rich flow of opportunities that is responsive to industry technology and customer requirements.

  • Assist the Division R&D Leaders and Business Unit Leaders in identifying analytical technologies which will enable future growth both in core markets and new markets.

  • Assess, develop, and enhance organizational talent to drive sustained success.

  • Improve service levels to operations through reduced analytical cycles times and continuous improvement projects which reduce testing cost and measurement variation.

  • Develop and execute quality control plans that enable success internally via improved product yields and externally through improved reliability of analytical measurements.

What We Seek:

  • The successful candidate will have established a pattern of success and 10+ years of experience in analytical, research & technology management in the semiconductor industry, developing and cultivating high performing teams and solutions for technical challenges in measurement and related technologies.

  • Proven ability to drive innovation through internal and external collaborations across functions, with customers and research institutions.

  • Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related sciences.

  • Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time and participate in conference calls outside of normal working hours.

  • An understanding of the key financial metrics used to make decisions and measure operational performance.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Proven track record of success in leading cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

  • Technical background in advanced chemistries and/or materials used in semiconductor processes or in similar industries.

  • Demonstrated ability in leading global teams in support of technology development and operational execution.

  • Proven leadership skills in operations management, technology development, and process improvement.

  • Understanding of semiconductor business and processes and with ultra-high purity chemicals, testing, and delivery.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Proven track record in the development of advanced analytical technologies and development of methodologies that advance differentiated solutions and bring value to customers.

  • Working knowledge of gas/liquid precursors and analytical methods for monitoring/validation of chemical purity.

  • Compensation: $200,000 - $240,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
