The Role:

Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Director, Operations to join our team. This role will lead a fast-paced, high-energy, and professionally rewarding environment while driving the organization towards a safe, customer quality focused, continuously improving and operationally mature culture.

TheDirector of Operations will report to the Advanced Purity Solutions Vice President of Operations (North America) and will be located in Chaska, MN.

This position will require building strong working relationships across the organization and developing partnerships on a local and global level. This critical role leads the safe operations of the site and enable the site operations teams to execute technical solutions related to manufacturing cycle time, optimize manufacturing cost, ensure superior quality product are manufactured and while driving strong product yield, for the Fluid Handling business.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for the Chaska, MN site security and safety of operations, personnel and regulatory compliance;

  • Overall accountability for the safety, quality, cost, and delivery of Fluid Handling manufacturing operations in Chaska, MN, operating on a 24x5 schedule now and an expectation of ramping to 24/7 in the future.

  • Provide direction and prioritization to personnel regarding site planning & -scheduling, purchasing, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, quality, inventory control and distribution/logistics activity;

  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer supply and quality issues and drive sustainable process improvements;

  • Develop and execute performance objectives to drive operational excellence;

  • Guide and support new product transition activities from engineering to high volume manufacturing (HVM);

  • Develop the leadership capability of the Operations Leadership team in addition to shift supervisors, and team leads.

  • Strong ability to connect with shop floor employees to drive employee engagement, including a flexible work schedule to allow for facetime with your night and weekend shift employees

  • Coordinate and align with internal and external stakeholders including production engineering, maintenance, quality lab, material engineering, Business Unit, EH&S, and others on critical operational, supply chain, and commercial requirements.

  • Engage the workforce through being present across the facility, this includes, but is not limited to, frequent visits to the production floor, skip level meetings, town hall meetings, attendance in shift change meetings, etc.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), with an advanced degree in Business or Management preferred;

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing desired.

  • 10+ years manufacturing or operations experience, with continuously increasing responsibility

  • Semiconductor or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, product scale-up, and product commercialization strongly preferred.

  • Successful development of manufacturing and operations personnel;

  • Proven experience leading cross functional teams to achieve business objectives;

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification desirable;

  • Must be able to drive accountability down through organization

  • Excellent communicator

  • Ensure strong teamwork between plant operations and business unit teams

  • Lead with tenacity to get things done - strong execution focus

  • Develop a "Customer-First" factory mindset and culture
