Title: Admissions & Disposition Clerk (Must BLS certification )

Location: Camp Lejeune NC 28547

Pay Rate: $16 + $5.55 (SCA) = $21.55/hour

Duration: 3 Years - Long term assignment

Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to include weekends and holidays (Shifts will normally be scheduled between 8.5 hours to 12.5 hours, to include an uncompensated 30-minute meal break)

Required Education:

  • Candidate must have a valid BLS certification from AHA or client.
  • Online-only BLS certificates are not valid.
  • No other certifications (board certifications, licensure) are required for this role.
  • HSD is required.


Job Description:

Contract Worker Standard Qualifications: In addition to the qualifications and requirements in the standard Admissions & Disposition Clerk position description , the following will apply to this task order:

  • Admissions & Disposition Clerk shall screen, record and redirect telephone calls each month for the MTF. Messages shall be taken to include person's name and telephone number, and information relayed to appropriate staff within 10 minutes.
  • Admissions & Disposition Clerk shall schedule approximately patient follow-up appointments in the appropriate clinic each month during patient discharge upon provider's request.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall utilize MTF Electronic Medical Records system to verify, update and enter patient demographics (name, address, home/work telephone numbers, sponsor SSN, patient SSN, date of birth and health insurance information) for all patients.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk personnel shall verify all encounters to ensure they contain the required information for reporting purposes each day. Forms shall be reviewed for accuracy, scanned and corrected daily.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall print out forms, patient labels for all Level 1 trauma patients.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall scan documents and enter them appropriately into the patients MTF Electronic Medical Records system, this should be completed within 24 hours of completion of care.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall contact in-hospital clinics, for eligible patients to be referred back to their primary care manager, as requested.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall utilize the communication center to page any consultant services that a provider may need.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall contact the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, Radiology and Computerized Tomography (CT) departments for patients needing these services.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall notify the Emergency Department supply person of needed administrative supplies.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall assist all Emergency Medical Services in obtaining additional demographic information, as needed.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall participate in all drills conducted in the Emergency Department to include trauma, mass casualty and code blue drills.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall utilize ESO suite to pull Onslow Emergency Services reports to upload into the patients MTF Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall accurately register all new patients that present to the Emergency Department.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall complete the Daily Count report nightly for the Nurse of the Day (NOD) which consists of statistics and disposition on each patient that presents to the Emergency Department.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall ensure the disposition of each patient that has presented to the Emergency Department is accurate
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall send certified letter to patients regarding abnormal results if the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Provider or designated Nurse is unable to contact the patient via telephone number.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall initiate proper procedures for all activated trauma patients, Levels 1, 2 & 3.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall observe during activated traumas to ensure all appropriate respondents are present and notify the Communication Center if they are not.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall enter consults/referrals for patients needing specialty follow-up care.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall ensure proper forms are submitted to Preventative Medicine to includes rabies exposure forms, CDC forms, heat/cold injury forms etc.
  • Admissions and Disposition Clerk shall review patient records for accuracy, completeness and proper patient identification.
