Position Title: Sr. Director of Strategic Admissions Management

Department Name: Office of the Provost

Position Reports To: Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Admissions

FLSA STATUS: Exempt / Salaried

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000

Benefits: The University's comprehensive benefits program

Days & Hours: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Standard work schedule is 9:00 am to 5:30 PM, may be adjusted. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods.

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:

The Sr. Director of Strategic Admissions Management serves as a strategic partner across Golden Gate University, driving initiatives that support the institution's vision, mission, and enrollment objectives. This role leads a team of professionals focused on student admissions, enrollment goals, and collaboration with Student Success Coaches. The Director works closely with marketing, academic programs, and both domestic and international partnerships to ensure a seamless and effective enrollment experience.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in CRM systems, admissions funnel management, and experience working with diverse student populations, including international (visa-seeking), military-affiliated, and returning students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Oversee the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring smooth handoffs to Student Success Coaches and coordination with partners such as UniQuest.
  • Develop and implement strategic policies and procedures for admissions and enrollment management.
  • Collaborate with department leadership and marketing on strategic recruitment plans
  • Ensure compliance with program-specific admissions requirements.
  • Collaborate with academic programs and marketing to ensure accurate and accessible program information for all student-facing teams.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and international agents supporting enrollment efforts.
  • Serve as budget authority for domestic and international admissions, including staffing decisions.
  • Partner with Finance to develop and maintain operational and strategic enrollment forecasts and reports.
  • Work with IT to ensure robust self-service tools for students and effective technology solutions for staff.
  • Supervise Designated School Officials (DSOs) responsible for issuing initial I-20s to newly admitted international students.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations for the Senior Leadership Team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Education requirement:


  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred.


  • Years of experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving change and leading teams.


  • Skills and abilities:


  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to foster cross-functional partnerships.
  • Creative thinker with a high level of initiative and motivation.
  • Hands-on management style with a willingness to engage directly with team members
