Position Highlights

The University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix (College) invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Translational Neurosciences (TNS).



We are seeking candidates who apply innovative approaches to investigate the development, function, and disease of the central nervous system at all level of analyses. Appointments will be based on experience. While all neuroscience areas will be considered, candidates with interests in neural circuitry function, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, neuronal injury, age-related or neurodevelopmental disorders, inter-systemic comorbidities, neuroimmunology, sensory neurobiology, multiomics, or structural biology are encouraged to apply.



The successful candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in the Department of Translational Neurosciences, actively participate in teaching, research/scholarship and service/outreach, and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor and meet the requirements of a tenure track faculty according to the College and University guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications



  • PhD and/or MD in a related field from an accredited university, with post-doctoral training.
  • Demonstrate funding record consistent with experience and rank sought



Preferred Qualifications



  • Demonstrated research experience inclusive of ability to attain grant funding for research programs and studies.
  • Have a track record of published research findings in leading journals.
