Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine Open-rank tenured / tenure-track faculty positions The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), Augusta University, invites applications for open-rank tenured or tenure-track faculty positions. The positions may cover any area, from molecular and cellular to systems neuroscience. Applicants with expertise in human disease modeling, utilizing cutting-edge cellular and organoid systems, including those developed from patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or both, and are expected to establish or maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in teaching medical and graduate students. Strong opportunities exist for synergistic collaboration with our faculty's existing research focuses, which cover a variety of fundamental areas including neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders, CNS injury, development, neuroinflammation, and regenerative medicine. Department faculty have access to excellent core facilities for multiphoton/confocal and electron microscopy, small animal behavior and imaging, genomics and proteomics, flow cytometry, and bioinformatics. Our department is also home to the Transgenic and Genome Editing Core, Therapeutics Core, and Viral Vector Core. MCG, founded in 1828, is the flagship medical school of the University System of Georgia, and one of the top 5 largest medical schools in the United States.
