Job Summary:

The Director of Financial Services for the Pharmacy division within the Bronx Hospitals (Moses, CHAM, Einstein, Wakefield, Hutch, and WSQ), serves as a resource for operations, providing financial decision support. Uses financial and statistical metrics to monitor, review and evaluate performance and promote accountability. Assists management in achieving strategic and operational goals.

Essential Functions:

Position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, summarizing, and presenting all the financial data, revenue, expenses, and statistical/volume information in an organized and widely understood format. Duties include: Directing monthly reports, planning, forecasting, and monitoring actual income, expenses, and volumes. This position controls the timing, quality and utilization of information provided to Chief Pharmacy officer and site specific pharmacy managers and assists them in understanding the information, ensuring that decisions are made with the most updated, accurate data. The position is instrumental in providing a central financial and statistical resource , as well as offering financial and computer training classes. Ensures that operational concerns are addressed when implementing new systems.The functions, duties, and scope of responsibilities of the Director of Financial Services also include:
* Working directly and extensively with Chief pharmacy officer regarding revenue enhancements, cost reduction efforts, and evaluation of new pharmacy projects.
* Monitoring new programs and other initiatives.
* Monitoring FTE's, and staffing ratios.
* Supervising the financial training and education of all new managers.

Essential Functions:

Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word required. Knowledge and experience with Infor/ Workday or other large automated accounting software systems required. The position must have the ability to lead, solve problems and recommend solutions.It is essential for this position to plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines. It is important to handle confidential and very sensitive data in a professional and accurate manner. The data presented to senior management can influence decisions. It is important to work independently as well as within a team structure. Time constraints require working accurately and effectively while under pressure. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Need to interact effectively and clearly with all levels of management.
