Responsibilities

What You'll Do as a Fleet Coordinator

As a Fleet Coordinator at Lewis Services, you'll:

    Serve as the division point of contact for fleet and DOT-related needs
  • Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Obtain and communicate vendor estimates for approval
  • Maintain accurate records and upload documentation to asset systems
  • Coordinate logistics for equipment transfers and disposals
  • Train crews on Fleet/DOT compliance and perform Gate Checks
  • Manage annual inspections with preferred vendors
  • Track rentals and identify internal alternatives
  • Monitor manufacturer recalls and ensures timely resolution
  • Expedite repairs for out-of-service units
  • Manage telematics and dashcam hardware repairs
  • Serve as fuel program contact and trainer
  • Train crew leaders on operator-level equipment maintenance
  • Conduct field training on inspections, maintenance, cargo securement, and safe driving
  • Review spending for cost-saving opportunities and warranty recovery
  • Monitor and optimize asset utilization
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
  • Carry out other duties as assigned


Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility to operate company vehicles
  • Minimum 3 years in a fleet or asset-intensive environment
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local compliance regulations
  • Intermediate mechanical/technical vehicle knowledge
  • Strong English communication skills (oral and written)
  • 3+ years of experience with computers or handheld devices

Preferred:

  • Experience with construction or utility service vehicles
  • Valid CDL license
  • Bilingual (Spanish - written and spoken)
Physical Demands

Ability to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive keystrokes regularly
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel regularly, including overnight stays via ground or air

Comments: PPE required per OSHA and ANSI standards. Travel is a regular part of the role.
